For four years, he also pastored a non-denominational start-up congregation in Fort Worth, Texas, with an active ministry of inclusion and reconciliation.

Bill has a bachelor's degree in Religion from a Southern Baptist-sponsored University.  He concentrated in communications and public speaking, with an emphasis on Biblical languages and a double minor in English and Psychology, as will as seminary training in advanced Biblical studies and communication.

Since leaving the ministry, Bill has drawn on his writing abilities and built a successful career in the field of public relations, working mainly for nonprofit organizations.  Though no longer in the full-time ministry, Bill is still involved with several national organization working for equality, diversity and inclusion, particularly in the religious community and is a frequent speaker/teacher at churches and conferences.

He and his spouse live in Dallas, Texas, along with Marlene, their Schoodle (part Schnauzer, part Poodle, all Diva).  Bill is currently working on a second novel, which also involves the religious culture of the deep south.
