Sow the Wind, Reap the Whirlwind For his first novel, Bill Prickett draws from his more than 20 years of experience in the ministry, including 7 years working with youth and 11 years as senior Pastor of a Southern Baptist Church in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, the setting for this novel. For four years, he also pastored a non-denominational start-up congregation in Fort Worth, Texas, with an active ministry of inclusion and reconciliation. Bill has a bachelor's degree in Religion from a Southern Baptist-sponsored University. He concentrated in communications and public speaking, with an emphasis on Biblical languages and a double minor in English and Psychology, as will as seminary training in advanced Biblical studies and communication. Since leaving the ministry, Bill has drawn on his writing abilities and built a successful career in the field of public relations, working mainly for nonprofit organizations. Though no longer in the full-time ministry, Bill is still involved with several national organization working for equality, diversity and inclusion, particularly in the religious community and is a frequent speaker/teacher at churches and conferences. He and his spouse live in Dallas, Texas, along with Marlene, their Schoodle (part Schnauzer, part Poodle, all Diva).
